Visit IHLS at OTFL

Are you taking full advantage of your library’s membership? Leslie Bednar, Executive Director, Illinois Heartland Library System, will join Dee Brennan, Executive Director, Reaching Across Illinois Library System, at the On The Front Lines conference on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at 10:15 am to present The Benefits of Being a Member in a Regional Library System. Library booth at Farm Progress Show: your opportunity to participate

The Farm Progress Show is August 27-29, 2013. Don’t forget that paperback books for the library booth at the Farm Progress Show may be sent through IHLS delivery. This link provides a reminder of how to send books: http://illinoisheartland.org/?q=content/article/think-outside-barn-your-library

If you live close enough to Decatur to volunteer in the booth or assist with pre-show organization, we would love to have your help. We need only a few hours of your time – REALLY. If you are interested in experiencing the Farm Show firsthand, and having the chance to visit with farmers, FFA students, Ag leaders and others, please let us know ASAP! Also tell us your available date(s) and time(s). We will have a schedule ready by mid-August. Admission to the show is included in our booth rental, so you are welcome to explore the show before or after your shift.

Please contact Rachel Miller, Forsyth Public Library, 217-877-8174 rachelmiller.fpl@gmail.com or Ann Adkesson, Friends of Barclay Public Library, 217-855-4914, libriann@yahoo.com with questions, or to volunteer. THANK YOU for your assistance with our project.
