Responsibilities include planning, directing, and supervising all aspects of library services, facilities, and activities. The Director will be responsible for budgeting and financial management, personnel administration, facilities management, and development. The Director will possess strong technology skills, knowledge of library law, and a vision of the role of libraries in the 21st century. The Director must be a strong, highly professional leader willing to build relationships within the community. The Sorter is a part-time position. The primary role of the Sorter is to assist in the daily sorting of books and other library materials transported by IHLS courier drivers. Other responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of the delivery tubs and bags, shelving IHLS books, delivering library materials to IHLS staff, and performing other clerical duties.
