Public Services Librarian - Vincennes University

Vincennes University is seeking an innovative, energetic and service-oriented academic library professional for the position of Public Services Librarian for the Shake Learning Resources Center. This is a twelve month, professional staff position with benefits. The Public Services Librarian is responsible for supervising lending desk activities, scheduling staff during the 99 hours per week the library is open, interlibrary loan, and document delivery services. The Public Services Librarian reports directly to the Dean of Learning Resources.

Part-Time Courier Driver - IHLS Edwardsville

We are looking for responsible individuals to deliver material to area libraries. Our part-time courier drivers work a flexible schedule, averaging 2 days a week, 7.5 hours per day.  Drivers must have a valid driver’s license, be in good physical condition, able to lift a maximum of 40 lbs, and able to follow directions. The starting wage is $8.93 per hour.  Applications will be accepted until June 8, 2012.

Electronic Resources Management Librarian - University of Chicago

Home of one of the largest and richest research collections in the world, The University of Chicago Library provides access to an extensive number of e-resources including purchased and licensed serials and electronic books. The ERM Librarian plays a key role in the coordination and management of content supplied by over 500 producers as well as freely-available content. The collection currently contains around 2 million individual electronic titles.

Reporting to the Associate University Librarian (AUL) for Collection Services, the ERM Librarian provides leadership, vision, and direction for electronic resources management in a library that has made it a strategic priority to ensure users can take full advantage of resources.  The ERM Librarian establishes standards for electronic resources management, assesses whether standards are being met, and recommends and implements changes to improve electronic resources for Library users. Representing the University of Chicago Library at professional conferences and meetings, and maintaining professional networks and collaborative relationships with other libraries, the ERM Librarian both remains abreast of changes affecting electronic resources management and assumes an active leadership and advocacy role within the field.

Instructional Services Librarian/Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor - UIS

Minimum: Master’s degree in library science or equivalent from an ALA-accredited school and at least two years of experience in public service and instruction in an academic library. Ability to contribute in a fast-paced, collaborative environment; excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with Web 2.0 best practices as applied to libraries. Director of Learning Resource Center - Kaskaskia College

Kaskaskia College is seeking applications for the above position.  This is a 12-month, full-time, Professional/Managerial position, eligible for fringe benefits.  Salary range is $48,000 to $53,000 annually.  Position responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the College’s Library and Learning Resources operations and coordinating the College’s professional growth and development program.

Position requires Master’s degree in Library Science or related field from an ALA accredited institution and minimum of three years library work experience. Also requires experience with library technology, knowledge of library functions including reference, public services, collection development, bibliographic instruction, acquisitions, cataloging, classification, circulation, electronic resources, and media services and experience working with diverse populations. Also requires demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the community college mission and philosophy, strong understanding of and commitment to teamwork, process leadership, and consensus decision making, excellent oral and written and communication skills, and demonstrated proficiency in organizing and planning. Community college library experience preferred.
