New Library Closings Page

The IHLS website has a new feature for member libraries, a Library Closing page.

You can go to this page to see what libraries are closed on a particular day. There is also a link on the page to the form to submit your own closed date(s).

Please use this if you are closed for weather, or if you're having work done on your building, or if you have staff training that will close the library. You can specify the reason and/or the hours you will be open/closed in the Comments section (please keep the comments short).

eRead Illinois Update

We hope you're staying warm in this frigid weather. Curling up with a good e-book and a hot beverage sounds delightful right about now! We won't be sending out a newsletter this week, as we only have a few updates to share, provided below:

SHARE Semi-Annual meeting documents

The following proposed documents will be reviewed at the February 4 SHARE Semi-Annual meeting.  Electronic voting to accept or reject the proposed documents will take place during the week of February 10.  A link to the voting document will be sent to each member library's voting representative, and there should be only one vote cast per library.

Update: 2 IHLS offices closed Tuesday, 21 January
