Save staff time and increase your ILL fill rate with the OCLC Policies Directory

From OCLC WorldShare Interlibrary Loan,  you have one-click access to the OCLC Policies Directory, where you can review the lending and copying policies of other libraries participating in WorldShare Interlibrary Loan, plus their billing, system and contact information. You can use this information to choose your potential lenders based on policies that meet your needs, and publish your own policies in the Directory to reduce the number of unfilled requests you receive.

Constant data settings determine format of address labels

A frequent request we hear from WorldShare ILL users is:  Will you please ask people to update their constant data settings so their addresses print appropriately on our labels?

Constant data updates will benefit your library as well as the libraries with whom you borrow and loan. In WorldShare Interlibrary Loan, when address fields in constant data records are not broken into separate fields for individual elements, labels will not print correctly.

Affordable Care Act (ACA) and the Role of Libraries

The American Library Association anticipates that many Americans will turn to libraries for help in accessing enrollment information when open enrollment for the Health Insurance Marketplace component of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) begins on October 1, 2013. Is your library prepared to assist your patrons?

To access the Illinois Public Library Annual Report using the Library Performance Assessment System (LibPAS) portal, you will need to know your library’s Illinois State Library User Name and Password. It is the same User Name and Password used on the previous data collection system. If you need assistance with this information, contact Becky Hunter, Illinois State Library, bhunter1@ilsos.net, 217-782-7849, or 800-665-5576, ext. 2. You will also need Adobe version 8.0 or higher for PDF printing.
