OCLC will bring face-to-face training on the new WorldShare Interlibrary Loan service to Chicago with a workshop during the Illinois Library Association conference in October. Whether you plan to attend ILA or live near Chicago, we invite you to join us for this training program.
This workshop will provide the information you need to start using WorldShare Interlibrary Loan. Specifically, the program will concentrate on how to manage borrowing and lending activities in the new service.
eRead Illinois, the much talked about Illinois statewide eBook consortium, will be available later this fall. As you've all probably heard, IHLS SHARE members will be using a 3M cloud platform because it works seamlessly with Polaris. RAILS will be using Baker & Taylor's Axis 360 platform.
When you set up OCLC Services user accounts to access WorldShare Interlibrary Loan, you received a unique URL in the format https://[libraryID].share.worldcat.org/wms for your library’s access to the service. Part of your setup process included bookmarking this unique URL for future logons.
IHLS has received payments of $730,333.32, representing the final payment of IHLS’ FY2013 (July 2012 - June 2013) Area and Per Capita Grant.
The continued support of Anne Craig (Director, Illinois State Library) and Jesse White (Illinois Secretary of State and State Librarian) is much appreciated and strengthens our resolve to deliver core services in innovative ways.
